A New Camera and A New SUP Spot

Each time we go out SUPing I comment, “I wish I had a camera with me….and the big one is too big to haul around, and too valuable to take a chance with in the water, etc.”

Well, that problem’s been solved thanks to the research of Michael’s dad.  He knows his way around cameras and researching cameras.  Thanks, John.

Our first exploration with our newest digital toy was at the Palo Alto Bayfront Park–amazingly beautiful and full of birds of every sort.  Since a picture’s worth a 1000 words, let’s skip to the photos…

The tide was a low, revealing the channels that have been dredged in the slough…a.k.a. the highways and the bi-ways that we want to aim for when we go back at a higher tide to SUP–that’s when the tide is up and the winds are down.  According to a windsurfer who was kind enough to chat about the conditions and what to watch out for told us the mornings are probably best.

We cannot wait to head out there.  We’re aiming for Sunday morning this weekend.

  1. Really beautiful pictures guys! Somebody is a good photographer.

    • Thanks, Scott! With a happy trigger finger and a well charged battery (and a delete key), photos are pretty easy to take…helps that the scenery was amazingly beautiful! Kelly
