SUPAA: Wrightsville’s Sunset Paddle

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Wrightsville Beach was beautiful, a challenge to find a good spot to launch the boards, a bit windy….and because of the holiday weekend, filled to capacity with boaters…=-(

But our patience and persistence was well rewarded!  In the evening the winds calmed a bit, boat traffic reduced some…and we found a marina that was a good spot to launch!

The inner coastal waterways provide unlimited opportunities (practically speaking) for exploration on a SUP board.  We made it across the boating channel and had a wonderful time exploring a small part of this amazing spot du jour!

For ease of posting and/or viewing, all the photos are posted above in the slide show!  You’ll see a photo of a bird’s nest with the babies…Sharp-eyed Mia noticed a bird going in and out of a tree right outside of our motel room…and sure enough, it was a mama bird taking care of her babies!  Good eye, Mia!
